Geoff Evason, CEO
While searching for an online solution to communicate with his guests about his destination wedding, Geoff decided to launch MomentVille in mid 2007. Since that time he has steadily grown the company in to one of the leading global wedding website providers.
Geoff has over a decade of experience working in IT companies, including at Sydney-based companies Softection and Altium and global companies Altera and Research in Motion. His many roles have included software management, marketing, and product management. His attention to detail and ability to effectively manage complex projects has earned him a reputation as a solid performer.
He graduated from University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering. Geoff has a passion for technology and its use in improving everyday life processes.
Paul Sehr, Chief Technology Officer
Paul joined the MomentVille team in July 2008, fresh from an 8-month around-the-world odyssey. An experienced IT and engineering professional, he brings a wealth of knowledge in managerial, technical and client relations spheres to the team.
Since 2003, Paul has worked in increasingly senior positions at Novator Systems, an established e-Retail Services company based in Toronto. Prior to that he worked as a software developer at Tallinn-based Microlink Systems where he was responsible for designing database models and leading the development of large-scale software solutions for the company’s clients.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto. In addition to being an avid traveller Paul volunteers with various local community organizations and aims to perfect his skills as an amateur chef.
Quentin Osborn, Vice President - Operations
Quentin is an IT and engineering specialist with a decade of experience in a variety of industries, including investment banking, IT & telecommunications. He has held increasingly senior positions at Macquarie Group, Brightpoint Australia and Celestica.
As a formally trained project manager, Quentin has in-depth experience setting high level IT strategies and developing roadmaps to achieve them in line with business objectives. His solid technical background is seen as an asset in managing high availability, high performance systems.
Quentin attended University of Western Ontario and graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering Science, Electrical Engineering. He is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys and urban/outdoor life in Sydney.
Oliver Martin, Vice President - Public Affairs
Oliver rounds out the MomentVille team with a background in market research, marketing strategy and communications. He has worked in market research and communications roles at Decima Research, the Canadian Tourism Commission, The SI Group, the Ontario Government, GlobeScan, and the Strategic Intelligence Centre at the Pacific Asia Travel Association. He specialises in social/economic trend analysis.
From 2005-2007 he managed GlobeScan’s media relations, including reporting of the firm’s global polls for the BBC World Service. He is a frequent panellist on CNBC Asia’s morning business programme and a regular media commentator on global environmental and CSR issues.
During his bachelors, Mr Martin studied international politics at Wilfrid Laurier University, and participated in the prestigious 52nd WUSC International Seminar at the University of Zimbabwe. In addition, he holds a certificate in Strategic Marketing from York University and a graduate degree in Marketing from University of Toronto.
